... But probably not the one that immediately comes to mind. Its post-Hogwarts and post-war, and Harry is living in Grimmauld Place, when he is called to meet with Minister Shaklebolt, who tells him that he must participate in a Wizarding Courtship ritual (I can't remember why, but I do remember that Kingsley stresses that its not so bad as it needn't end in marriage). Harry gets petitions from all sorts of people, both unknowns and some surprising knowns including (unpleasantly) Draco and (pleasantly) Severus, from whom he must choose a certain number of participants to be announced at the ball which commences the Ritual; Ginny is eliminated from the running when its found she's been giving Harry a rather insidious love potion to play up his feelings for her. The Courting consists of outings with the participants, who are then eliminated as the Ritual continues, until the closing ball, at which to everyone's surprise (including Harry's) Severus is Chosen in the end. Any ideas about the name or location of this story will be greatly appreciated and, as ever, I thank everyone for their concern.
